1. Why is there smoke when braking?

Brake pads contain about 20% organic matter. When the temperature is too high, they will decompose and emit smoke, and a layer of oily substance will form on the surface of the pads, which will affect the braking effect. The possible reasons for this phenomenon are: frequent braking when going downhill, which causes excessive temperature and smoke; the organic content of the brake friction lining formula is unqualified and exceeds the standard.

2. The role of the groove in the brake pad?

The function of the groove in the brake friction plate is to discharge gas, reduce noise and change the natural frequency of the product, discharge abrasive debris, and enhance the adhesion of the friction material to the back plate.

3. Why does the newly installed brake friction plate have a soft brake?

After replacing the new brake pads, the brake may be soft. The possible reasons are: the brake pads are not installed in accordance with the standard, the surface of the brake disc is contaminated and not clean, the brake pipeline is faulty or Insufficient brake fluid, incomplete exhaust in the brake cylinder, excessive wear of the brake disc and uneven surface, and unqualified brake pad quality.

4. Why is there hysteresis in braking?

The phenomenon of brake hysteresis may be caused by: failure of the brake return spring, improper clearance between the brake pad and the brake disc, or over-tight assembly dimensions, unsatisfactory thermal expansion performance of the brake pad, and poor parking brake return . Car maintenance network

5. Why does the back plate of the brake friction plate fall off?

There are two cases where the back plate of the brake friction plate comes off. One is that a crack occurs between the back plate and the friction material; the other is that the friction material itself generates a crack. The possible reasons are: poor pre-treatment process of the back plate, poor stability of the friction material, unsatisfactory pressing process, poor adhesive quality, excessive use temperature, incorrect installation, impact and knocking.
